The thought of producing an Opera, something which RG had never done uptill then , came to him in the majestic beauty of the Simla Hills. He had just finished giving his productions of Darbar -e Akbari in Simla and Chandigarh and his creative mind started racing on to his next project. Back in Delhi he and his friend Prem Jullundry got working and in three months had the script of this tale of love ready -word by word and line by line.
RG writes that he cherishes the memory of those days when he rehearsed for this production along with his able team of artists and noted music director Satish Bhatia.
