Biography

1913 - Born to Mata Bindra Devi Anand and Pita Ganpatram Anand

1929 - Graduated from Dev Samaj School, Moga

1929 - Studied architecture at Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy School of Art, Bombay

1936 - Returned to Lahore and started practice with U. M. Aptay as a partner. Married Romeshlatta Suri, daughter of Tirathram and Lakshmidevi Suri.

1947 - Moved to Delhi and started his practice in architecture, and theatre movement. U.M. Aptay moved to Poona

1951 - CSH Jhabvala joined as partner in the architecture firm, which came to be known as Anand, Aptay and Jhabvala (AAJ).

1982 - Passed away on 27th August, having established himself as a leading architect and theatre personality.
